About Me

My training and experience

I have a degree in Integrative Counselling. This means I undertook specialist training drawing together concepts and theories from three main schools of thought (Humanistic, Analytic and Cognitive Behavioural) to create a blend of understanding about the formation of self and how we exist in relationship. This course included my own personal therapy; working within placement; supervision; alongside the theoretical study.
I have many years experience of working with clients. My placements included 4C's Wymondham (until it's closure); Norwich MIND; and Off the Record.
After qualification it is an integral part of my role as a counsellor to continue taking part in relevant training.
Having read this if you would like to schedule a consultation, please get in touch today for a free 15 minute conversation about how I will be able to assist you.

How I work with clients

I believe relationship is crucial to who we are as humans. Therefore I strive to create a safe working relationship in which clients feel able to explore what they have experienced, their own relationships, their feelings and emotions, or who they are. I provide a non judgemental space where you can say whatever you feel and it will be met with acceptation and validation. I will be curious about who you are as you're the expert in the room; teach me what it is like to be you so together we can understand or choose to adapt or change certain behaviours. The sessions are tailor made for you.
